As I consider the stories – the myriad varieties of stories we tell ourselves and each other – I am often amazed and awed by the amount of effort expended on keeping the seemingly unbearable truths far away.
Why do we do this?
So we don’t have to look at those truths; embrace them, take responsibility for them and ultimately heal the pain we are so urgently keeping hidden…in our shadows.
It’s always easier to say “they” rather than “I”. They did that to me. So easy to push it away.
Even our explanations – to ourselves and others – ring hollow.
To some, the required vulnerability is terrifying.

True…and sad. Vulnerability is a super power…it lies just beyond the embracing of our wounded places. The healing journey.

WE…. Forget,, we are ALL of us responsible for our lives, our thoughts and our actions… So much easier to point a finger than look in the mirror.. 😉 Yet at some point.. We ALL of us have to face our own reflection.. and see what we have manifested… We reap that which we sow.
Great thoughts.. 🙂

Thank you very much, Sue. Indeed, we reap what we sow. Facing ourselves is not always easy and it is always necessary. 🙂
