Compassionate Listening

Do your best to practice compassionate listening. Do not listen for the sole purpose of judging, criticizing, or analyzing. Listen only to help the other person express himself and find some relief from his suffering.

– Thich Nhat Hanh

One of the gifts I am privileged to have and offer is deep listening. Cultivated through years of experience with many people as observer, leader and mentor; training and practicing Presence Based Coaching; parenting and the experiences of other relationships, I bring non-judgmental listening to the moment.

Listening with the “ears” of my heart, I offer empathic presence to anyone who wishes to be seen and heard.

Listening with a commitment to keep in the “vault” an individual’s deepest feelings and past experiences or present thoughts, I offer the holding of such things in confidence.

If the above resonates or you believe you might be interested in considering a commitment to a path of taking responsibility for your own healing, please consider reaching out. You may do so here.

The human soul doesn’t want to be advised or fixed or saved. It simply wants to be witnessed — to be seen, heard, and companioned exactly as it is.
